I’d like to start this by saying that all thoughts, statements, opinions, etc. stated on this platform are my own. I created this Medium account to share thoughts I have related to my professional experiences, love of technology (see further below Tech Enthusiast), life experiences, and more. Education

I spent my undergraduate degree at North Carolina State University (go Wolfpack!) studying Accounting with a concentration in Information Technology. After graduating and receiving my bachelor’s degree, I spent a single additional year at N.C. State obtaining my master’s degree in accounting.

Work

My name is Tyler Bridges and I have been working in Public Accounting as an Information Technology (IT) Auditor for nearly two years

Tech Enthusiast

I have always had a love for technology and a desire to assist others in my passion, hence my reason for entering the field of IT Auditing. I have always been fascinated with the most recent gadgets and consider myself a bit of a tinkerer when it comes to tech. While pursuing my undergraduate degree at NC State University, I successfully built my first personal computer. Those who have built computers understand that when building a computer, issues inevitably arise. Being forced to troubleshoot and solve issues over the past several years, I have greatly extended my knowledge of computers and technology, resulting in greater confidence in rapidly solving problems. A large portion of my spare time consists of staying current in technology — as a benefit to my professional career as well as for personal enjoyment — by watching various YouTube videos and reading recent articles of interest.

Pickleball

If you’re close with me, you’d know that I spend a good portion of my free time not spent working or with family on the Pickleball court. I’m finally beginning to consistently hit my third shot drops, and I’ve recently began hitting some pretty great two-handed backhands (it’s not as easy as it sounds).

Other Interests

In addition to technology, I am also interested in personal finance, productivity, and time management. I also enjoy spending time in nature hiking and adventuring.
